The business was started in 1973 as a joint venture between Cecil Dean our chairman and Tom Dodd, of the Dodd Group. 3CL moved into our purpose designed and built offices and factory in 1988. 3CL is a privately limited company run very much on the lines of a family business. The company continues to adopt a very low key approach to marketing with business development contained to the careful targeting of new business requirements in conjunction with business secured from an established client base on a repeat order basis.

We provide a wide range of Service and Maintenance packages ranging from basic labour only, to fully comprehensive multi-year deals. Each package is bespoke to the client's requirements. We provide preventative maintenance contracts to third party installations employing HFC's, ammonia and carbon dioxide as well as secondary heat transfer fluids such as glycol and chilled water.

3CL have been a Trend System Integrator (SI) for many years, where we design control strategies for bespoke Industrial Refrigeration Plant and Air Conditioning Systems enabling us to offer comprehensive turnkey solutions without relying upon any third party involvement. For many years Trend have always provided us with products of high quality and a standard of service at the highest level, which in turn enables us to reciprocate the same to our customers.Trend supply a wide range of cost effective controllers providing options of using combined fixed or expandable inputs and outputs, this allows us to select the best suited solution for the application at the design stage thus keeping the cost to a minimum.

The company is recognised world-wide for expertise in the design, installation, service, and maintenance of environmentally responsible refrigeration systems. Industrial refrigeration systems that use hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants (HFC), that are poorly designed and maintained, can contribute significantly to global warming.
